Meetup with NGO's community in Koforidua was an exciting, educating and inspiring. Many NGO's are still operating without any meaningful reference to web applications or having a web presence and this was very clear during the meet-up. Many of the participants were ignorant of

Themeet up was used to introduce Google Business Group in Koforidua and formally launch the Koforidua Chapter. The meet up was held at the Partner's May Hotel on the November 29 under the theme " Advancing Social Work through Technology. Representatives from the following NGO's were present: Tajaf Foundation, Hands of Faith Foundation, 4-H Ghana, Real Opportunities Network, Future Watch Foundation among others.

Activities that took place during the event are: A presentation by Mr. Hervie on The Web presence, an introduction on Google Business Groups Chapter formation, the objectives, role of members and the benefits of becoming a member, this was presented by Mrs.Korasare, the GBG Manager for Koforidua. Donald, the Country Coordinator for GBG's took turn to talk on e-commerce and Google for NGO's and the opportunities available for NGO's on Google platform.

Members were encouraged to create gmail addresses since most of the NGO's are still using yahoo.
Participants formed four groups focusing on the area of expertise in order to facilitate other meets -up and meetings with other groups like SMEs among others.
